How can I register for the race?
Here are registration links for our races: 5K | Half Marathon | Marathon
Online registration for the half marathon and 5K will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. We will take registrations at bib and T-shirt pickup, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Confluence Running (46 S. Washington St., Binghamton).
Please note that registrations for the full marathon will not be accepted after Aug. 20 to allow time for the creation and shipping of the personalized finisher’s plaques.
To make things easier for our timing company, and to provide a smoother race-day experience, we will not offer race-day registration. Runners who live in Binghamton and the immediate surrounding suburbs are strongly encouraged to pick up their bibs the day before the race.
What is the schedule for race day?

7 a.m. – Marathon starts
7:45 a.m. – Bib and shirt pick-up closes
8 a.m. – Half Marathon starts
8:10 a.m. – 5K starts
8:45 a.m. – 5K Awards Ceremony
10 a.m. – Half Marathon Awards Ceremony
11 a.m. – Marathon Awards Ceremony
1 p.m. – Marathon cut-off time (runners on course can still finish; timer will not be present after 1 p.m.)
Where can I park on race day?
Parking will be available in the Town of Maine Park (2693 NYS Route 26, Maine), and at the town highway garage at the end of Ellis Payne Road (off Route 26). When you arrive, please follow the directives of our volunteers as they are trying to safely accommodate a large volume of vehicles.
Can I wear headphones during the race?
We will not disqualify a runner for doing this, but we strongly recommend that you do not wear headphones. Keep in mind roads will be open during the race (Route 26 will be closed only to allow runners to safely exit the town park). We will have road support from the county sheriff’s office and from volunteers on bikes, but runners should be alert at all times during the race.
Where will the water stops be located on the course?
• 171 Nanticoke Road – 1.25 miles from start/finish
• 402 Nanticoke Road – 2.25 miles from start/finish
• 935 Nanticoke Road – 5 miles from start/finish
• Glen Aubrey Fire Station – 6 miles from start/finish
Half marathon runners pass each of the four stops twice. Marathon runners pass each water stop four times. 5K runners will pass the 171 Nanticoke Road location twice.
What will be offered at the water stops?
We will have water and Gatorade at all water stops. The water stop at the Glen Aubrey Fire Station will have supplies for the marathon runners including gels, Vaseline, band-aids and Tylenol.
Are there bathrooms?
The Town of Maine Park has permanent bathrooms located near the baseball field. We will also have porta-potties and a portable sink. The Glen Aubrey Fire Station, about six miles north of the park, will have bathrooms available.
Can I have friends or family as a “support crew” on the course?
We understand this is common at ultra races, but strongly prefer you do not do this. Extra vehicles on the course increase the safety risk, and many of your fellow runners, to be honest, would say this is a nuisance.
What course do I follow?
Course maps can be found on the home page of this website. The start and finish line for all three races is between Pavilions 1 and 2, on the blacktop path. All runners will exit the Town of Maine Park, turn left onto Route 26 (the road will be closed for the start of all races), bear left and proceed northbound on Nanticoke Road where it splits from Route 26.
• 5K runners will turn around near Bridan Lane, then head to the finish line in the park.
• Half marathon runners will turn just south of Phillips Road, then return to the park.
• Marathon runners cover the half marathon course, but should not go through the finish line upon returning to the park. Instead, marathon runners will go around the finish line area, then head back out to run the half marathon course a second time.
I’d like to support this event by serving as a volunteer? How can I get involved?
We would be delighted to have you. Please fill out our volunteer interest form. We’re always in need of help at the food pavilion, providing support as a road marshal or in the parking area, and at water stops.
